Good Sense Frankincense

International laboratory research has demonstrated frankincense essential oil's ability to SHUT DOWN CANCER cells without harming healthy cells. It shuts the cancer cells down by probing the nucleus and resetting the cancerous DNA to normal cellular DNA.

This research is considered preliminary within mainstream medical authority and FDA guidelines. A leading researcher on the frankincense project, Dr. Mahmoud Suhail, says that there are 17 active ingredients in frankincense, but many scientists think Boswellic acid is the main cancer cell eliminator.

Dr. Suhail disagrees, so he's experimenting with the ingredients to determine which one or ones should be isolated. This would benefit Big Pharma, enabling them to create a profitable patented cancer drug based on frankincense after years of testing.

What about simply using the essential oil from high quality frankincense, such as Boswellia Sacra?

The research cover story is that they want to make sure they have the right ingredient or ingredients and to eliminate unnamed allergenic agents that are not actively involved with killing cancer cells. In Oman, however, where many use abundantly grown frankincense, there are no cancer patients in either of the two hospitals. (YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT!!!) Also, there are no serious allergic reactions among them. Conversely, there are many adverse side effects from pharmaceuticals and chemotherapy.

So the cover story is bogus. Harmful side effects haven't slowed Big Pharma's pursuit of big bucks in the least. Profitable FDA approved patented medications require laboratory synthesis. Natural solutions can't be patented.

At least one informal human trial has been reported using only natural frankincense essential oil. A person with bladder cancer had considerable improvement within two weeks of using frankincense essential oil.  Frankincense essential oils are also currently being used in some European hospitals to bolster immunity and elevate moods.

Postpartum Care Pads

Witch hazel is your best friend for the postpartum healing period. Witch hazel can be used on swollen body parts (birth gives your body quite the beating), varicose veins, and makes a wonderful treatment for two obnoxious new mama problems – a sore perineum and hemorrhoids. These soothing pads do wonders for soreness and swelling after vaginal birth. Prepare 18-24 ahead of time.

Overnight/Jumbo maxi pads
1/4 cup Witch hazel
2-3 drops Lavender oil
1 Tbsp Pure Aloe Vera gel
Aluminum foil

Combine witch hazel, lavender essential oil, and aloe vera gel in a small bowl and mix till thoroughly combined. Transfer to a small spray bottle. Unfold each pad, and spray each pad with the healing mixture till the pad is damp, but not soaked. Wrap each pad in foil and store them in the freezer. Witch hazel and lavender are natural astringents, so they’ll help reduce swelling, and the aloe and the cold are very soothing.

Essential oils have very, small molecules. There are approximately 40 million trillion molecules in one drop of essential oil.  They are so small, that they enter your body through the skin and go EVERYWHERE in your body.

Vitamin C is a large molecule and cannot go everywhere in your body, so it does its job while passing through. Another very large molecule is insulin. It is so large that it has problems getting into our cells and when it can no longer get into our cells, we get Type II Diabetes, or Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes.

Having small molecules is also what produces the wonderful aromas of essential oils. Open a bottle and immediately you can smell them. If not, it is not a very good grade of essential oil. The molecules of a good, quality essential oil will hop right out of the bottle into your nose.

Oregano Oil is antibiotic, antiviral, contains antioxidants, and is an anti-inflammatory, containing four potent COX-2 inhibitors. Many oils are antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. The antioxidant value in some essential oils alone is absolutely astounding. Dr. David Stewart PhD, (Healing Oils of the Bible), writes: "An ounce of Clove Oil has the antioxidant capacity of 450 lbs of carrots, 120 quarts of blueberries, or 48 gallons of beet juice." This is ONLY with a Therapeutic Grade Essential oil which is not something you can purchase at a hobby store.

Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils have an Electromagnetic Frequency. One of the differences between Western and Eastern medicine is that Eastern Medicine does not study cadavers (deceased human bodies) because Eastern Medicine was all about CHI, Qi or the Life Force: energy. There is no Life Force Energy in a cadaver or a garbage fragrance oil passed off as an essential oil.

Essential Oils and their healing benefits are not a "New" fad or "New Age," as the Bible is full of references to anointing and healing and ceremonies involving these oils.

Research by Jean Valnet, M.D., showed that vaporized Lemon essential oil can kill meningococcus bacteria in 15 minutes, typhoid bacilli in one hour, staphylococcus aureus in two hours and germs causing pneumonia within three hours.

Even a 0.2% solution of Lemon essential oil can kill diphtheria bacteria in 20 minutes and inactivate tuberculosis bacteria. Its antiseptic properties will last for twenty days. It is perfect for destroying air-borne germs in hospital rooms, waiting rooms, and schools. It is particularly effective in neutralizing unpleasant body odors of patients suffering from cancer.

Lemon essential oil is an essential oil with high vibrations, comparable to a high-toned whistle. Sandalwood, in comparison, hums like a bumble bee. Essential oils with high vibrations lifts spirits, especially when one may be feeling mental fatigue.

Lemon especially brings a sense of warmth and fun to intellectual pursuits. Although Lemon essential oil is beneficial for both physical and psychological heaviness, it mostly stimulates the mind, increasing concentration and the ability to memorize.

Brain research concerned with the effects of fragrances has found that Lemon essential oil primarily activates the hippocampus. University researchers in Japan found that diffusing certain aromas in an office environment dramatically improved mental accuracy and concentration.

Diffused Lemon essential oil resulted in 54 percent fewer errors. When aromas were diffused during test taking, scores increased by as much as 50 percent. In other research Lemon essential oil has shown to have antidepressant effects.

A 1995 Mie University study found that citrus fragrances boosted immunity, induced relaxation, and reduced depression. Lemon essential oil is an immune stimulant. It increases white blood cells, improves microcirculation and is antiseptic.

Lemon essential oil consists of 68 percent d-limonene, a powerful antioxidant. Lemon has an approximate ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) of 6,619 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter. D-limonene has been extensively studied for its ability to combat tumor growth in over 50 clinical studies.

Some Great Therapeutic Uses for Lemon Essential Oil

For colds or throat and mouth infections, gargling with Lemon essential oil (2 drops diluted in half a glass of water) and taking Lemon essential oil orally by adding it to a propolis tincture is helpful.

Place a drop of Lemon essential oil on cold sores, herpes or other mouth ulcers to lessen pain and aid in healing.

For treatment of itchy eczemas and measles add Lemon essential oil to a sponge bath (1-2 drops to a quart of water)

Lemon essential oil because of its vitamin C content is beneficial for treating anemia.

Since oils strengthen vascular tissues, it is used for treating varicose veins by improving circulation and relieving pressure on the veins. It may be applied in skin lotions and compresses, mixed in a 1 to 1 ratio with Cypress essential oil.

Lemon essential oil acts as an astringent, an antiseptic, a disinfectant, and a styptic that stops wounds from bleeding. It becomes an excellent remedy when used in a compress or as a cleanser for treating bleeding wounds. Put a drop of Lemon essential oil on bleeding gums caused by gingivitis or tooth extraction.

Essential Lemon essential oil taken orally will help counteract a high acid content in body fluids by stimulating production of potassium carbonate, a neutralizing substance and is a preferred remedy for rheumatism and gout, since it cleanses the body of uric acid, a side effect of high acidity. In this case, the oil may be taken both orally and topically.

Lemon essential oil is a very good stimulant of the body's own immune system. It activates white blood cell formation and helps protect the body during flu epidemics.

Rub a drop of Lemon essential oil on a wart morning and night until it disappears. Rub a drop of Lemon oil on a corn, callous or bunion mornings and evenings. Rub two drops of Lemon essential oil topically to clear athlete's foot.

Rub several drops of Lemon essential oil on cellulite to improve circulation and help eliminate waste from the cells.

Put a drop of Lemon essential oil on oily skin or acne to balance sebaceous glands (oil glands).

CAUTION: Citrus oils should NOT be applied to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light within 24 hours.

Some Great Household Uses for Lemon Essential Oil

Use 6-12 drops of Lemon essential oil in a spray bottle mixed with distilled water to use in the bathroom as an air freshener. Or you can diffuse Lemon essential oil to clean and disinfect the air in any room.

Use 1-2 drops of Lemon essential oil to remove gum, oil, grease spots or crayon.

Add 2-3 drops of Lemon essential oil to water and spray counter tops to sterilize them.

Soak your dishcloth overnight in a bowl of water and a drop of Lemon essential oil to disinfect and kill germs.

Add a drop of Lemon essential oil to your dishwasher before the wash cycle.

Rub a drop of Lemon essential oil on your hands after using a public bathroom.

Use a paper towel soaked with several drops of Lemon essential oil to sanitize bathroom fixtures and toilet seats.

Rub a drop of Lemon essential oil to clean a butcher's block or other cutting surfaces.

Put 10-15 drops of Lemon essential oil in each gallon of carpet cleaning solution to help pull out stains and brighten the rug. This also leaves a fresh smell in the room.

Use 30 drops of Lemon essential oil in the washing machine instead of chlorine bleach.

Put Lemon rinds in your garbage disposal to disinfect.

EGGsactly!

Raw eggs contain a significant concentration of essential proteins and nutrients. Because of the high protein content, eggs can be used to strengthen hair follicles. Likewise, the nutrients work much like conditioners to add volume, shine and texture.

The application of a single egg, two eggs for long or thick hair, is an effective and simple method to strengthen and thicken the hair.  Simply beat an egg as if you were making a scrambled egg. Massage the egg into your hair and scalp. For longer hair, use a brush to sufficiently cover the hair and scalp. Let the egg sit in the hair for at least 15 minutes. Rinse the hair with cool or lukewarm water (hot water will cook the egg). Follow up by washing hair with one of our shampoo/body bars. For best

results, feed your hair eggs once a week!  You will definitely notice a big difference after the first treatment.

Some have complained that they can not stand the “egg smell.”  Raw eggs should not smell.  If they do, don’t use or eat them.  Buy fresh eggs.  Remember, store bought eggs can be as much as six weeks old!  YUK.

TOMATO PASTE FACIAL

An easy facial for dry skin is to smear tomato paste on your face, leave on for five minutes and rinse it away with warm water. Tomato paste is acidic enough to provide gentle exfoliation that will make your skin feel softer and appear smoother, but is mild enough for dry skin. Tomato paste is also a rich source of the carotenoid antioxidant lycopene, which helps protect skin against damage from exposure to UVB sunlight.  Dr. Oz also says that eating 2 tbsp of tomato paste a day will decrease your chances of developing skin cancer.   Tomato paste contains skin-nourishing vitamins A (converted from beta-carotene by the skin), C, and E. In addition to being protective antioxidants that fight free radical damage, these three vitamins can also help rejuvenate dry skin.

Other powerful foods that benefit all skin types and especially dry skin are olive oil, green tea, grape seed, pomegranate, and blueberry. These foods’ antioxidants protect skin from free radical damage that results from pollution, oxygen, and sunlight.

As a daily moisturizer for dry skin, apply a small amount of extra-virgin olive oil to help smooth and moisten tight, flakey skin. Make sure to wipe away any excess oil to keep your skin from getting too greasy. Olive oil mimics the lipid profile of skin and is rich in skin-protective antioxidants. Other excellent moisturizers that also mimic the skin’s lipid profile include apricot oil, canola oil, coconut oil, corn oil, safflower oil, shea butter, sesame oil, soybean oil, and sweet almond oil.  My favorites are EVOO, shea butter, coconut oil.

                              TEA  TREE OF LIFE
Picture
Perms, blow drying, moussing, coloring, etc., not only dry the hair out, but can also block the hair follicle itself, creating further problems such as hair thinning and loss. A tea tree oil shampoo, or any natural shampoo with 2% tea tree oil (10 drops to an eight- ounce bottle), will help to unblock clogged hair follicles, moisturize the hair and keep the scalp free of bacteria and fungal problems.

Dry hair requires a gentle, non-detergent based product; a 2% solution of tea tree oil in a moisturizing shampoo will help to unblock sebaceous glands and encourage the flow of the body's own moisturizing oils, while clearing away unsightly dead skin cells.

For oily skin, a gentle tea tree oil moisturizing shampoo will help cleanse the scalp of bacterial and fungal irritations and help to disperse dead skin cells.

Tea tree oil mixed with other essential oils is especially good as a scalp treatment for relieving dandruff. Medical professionals list infection, poor diet, blood circulation and inadequate nerve stimulation as some of the causes of dandruff. A yeast that lives on the scalp, Pityrosporum ovale, and a fungus called trichoplyton spp also contributes to dandruff conditions. While there are many anti-fungal and bacterial soaps and shampoos on the market, tea tree oil offers a natural alternative. A recent study indicates that a pharmaceutical grade of a tea tree oil in low concentrations helps to eliminate bacteria and fungus on the scalp, as well as Pityrosporum ovales. There have also been reports that by massaging the oil into the scalp promotes new hair growth.

Treatment for cradle cap: one part of pure tea tree oil and ten parts of another oil, such as almond oil, avocado or olive oil.  Gently massage the oil into the baby's scalp and leave it on for a few minutes, then follow up with a tea tree shampoo.

Head lice among school children: Add five to ten drops of pure tea tree oil to a shampoo and wash the child's hair, massaging the mixture thoroughly into the scalp. Do this every day until the eggs are removed. In between shampoos, a few drops of the oil can be massaged into the scalp. Do not rinse out. To help sterilize and prevent further lice infestation, brushes, combs, bedding and towels may be soaked in a tea tree oil solution of 1/4 oz. of oil added to a tub of water. You may also spray a dilution of tea tree oil in the clothes hamper to help control infestation.

More people are becoming susceptible to viral conditions such as cold sores. Cold sores can be controlled by applying a few drops of pure tea tree oil onto the infected area at the onset. The oil will help to keep the cold sore from manifesting.

Dermatitis, dry skin, fungus, corns, and athlete's foot are just a few skin problems that we all face at one time or another. Generally, dry skin brushing and using a body lotion with tea tree oil added will help to repair and smooth the injured skin. Bathing in tea tree oil is therapeutic and soothing for tired muscles. Add ten drops of the oil to a warm tub and soak for twenty minutes.

Tea tree oil has been known to penetrate to the cellular level. Try adding ten drops of pure oil to your favorite day or night cream to help moisturize and smooth skin.

After shaving or waxing, apply several drops of the oil to the newly waxed or shaved area. It helps to cut down redness or swelling. A lotion containing a few drops of tea tree oil will also work well. Ingrown hairs can be eliminated by massaging the oil into the skin

Many dentists use tea tree oil as a mouthwash and for sterilizing cavities before filling. Studies have shown that washing the mouth out twice a day with a few drops of tea tree oil will help to inhibit the growth of bacteria, and reports state that gum bleeding has been greatly reduced and plaque controlled. Reports indicate that using tea tree oil in dental hygiene and in surgery show it to be an extremely effective antiseptic.

Holding a dilute solution of tea tree oil in your mouth for as long as possible before swishing and spitting it out will help with bleeding gums, inflammation or infection in the mouth.
